The British Open is a time honoured tradition and to attend just once is a must for all golfing enthusiasts.  By joining this escorted tour to the 2008 British Open, not only will you have the chance to enjoy 4 days of Championship golf at Royal Birkdale, but also take in some of the best sights that both Liverpool and London have to offer.

This Royal Birkdale course will hold special memories for Australian fans as both Peter Thompson (twice) and Ian Baker-Finch have been good enough to take home The Claret Jug here.

 

Day 1 - Tues 15th July Depart Australia from Australian Capital cities on your economy class flight to Manchester
Day 2 - Wed 16th July          Arrive Manchester.  Transfer to hotel Britannia Adelphi in Liverpool.  Night is at your lesiure to relax and recuperate after the flight
Days 3, 4, 5 & 6 - Thurs 17th July - Sun 20th July Each morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Royal Birkendale Golf Course in Southport for the days Championship Round.  On the night of the 19th you will gather for a "Welcome Dinner" which will allow the group to relive some of the great golfing highlights of the first three days. 
Day 7 - Mon 21st July Liverpool sightseeing.  You will take part in a tour of Liverpool, the city crowned European Capital of culture for 2008.  Sightseeing will include the city's Cultural Quarter including the William Brown Library, Walker Art Gallery and World Museum Liverpool.  You will also visit Liverpool's historic dock which houses the Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story.  In the afternoon you will depart to London where the night is at your leisure.
Day 8 - Tues 22nd July London sightseeing.  Famous historical sights including Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and the home of the Royal Family, Buckingham Palace.  The evening will be at your leisure to visit some of the city's many bars and restaurants.
Day 9 - Wed 23rd July Today is for your to enjoy as your please.  You could see a Theatre Show, visit Picadilly Circus, the London Zoo, Aquarium or Royal Botanic Garden.  Or what about the Changing of the Guard or the Ceremony of the Keys?  Whatever your interests, there is plenty to choose from in the world's most exciting city.
Day 10 - Thurs 24th July Time to return home.  After being transferred to London Heathrow Airport, you will board your flight home.
